A National Institute of Science survey had 94% of respondents say a nearby cell tower or group of antennas would negatively impact interest in a property or the price they would be willing to pay. Studies in real estate literature show property values drop from 2% to 20% when cell antennas are installed within a half mile of the property.

The antennas Verizon is proposing in Pacifica add seven and one-half feet to existing utility poles. Once approved, Verizon can add additional equipment and height up to fifteen feet, with no further application necessary. These antennas would be placed every one-thousand feet throughout Pacifica, as that’s their limited range with homes and other structures nearby. The blight on our skylines would be permanent; the effects of radiation on our health, untested and troubling.
